ohh where to start. I liked the ute because of the looks initially. I love wolves and was very impressed by their wolf like looks. As i researched the breed the one thing that kept coming back was that their temperment was brilliant which was great for me as i was desperate to own one and with 2 young kids in the house would never own a dog that i didnt trust. In my boy Diesel I have the perfect dog, he is EXTREMLEY handsome (not that i am baised hahaha) and he a real sweetheart - infact i dont think i have ever heard him growl. Not even when a little terrier attacked him. I bloody growled thou. the little s**t Evil or Very Mad .

Diesel makes me laugh every day, he gets on the kids trampoline and bounces about like tigger - he loves it What a Face
an he just have to look at me wi they big brown eyes an i melt I love you .

I totally in love wi the breed. so much so i am getting another one Laughing Laughing

Well i can now put ma input here now as me gonna be owned by a Ute in the very near future. This will probably be very long as once i get started i never stop.

Me and stewart had always been discussin what out next dog would be, and always fell out i might add!! I had ma heart set on a GSD as i grew up with this breed and loved them. Stewart on the other hand had always had a facination with the wolves and always dreamt of havin a wolf or the closest looking dog he could find.

I trawled various sites and different breeds on the internet, but there was always something that didnt sit good with me and that was the temprement around young children. We have stewarts daughter every weekend and at oor caravan site their is always weans runnin in and oot awe day, so temprement was upmost in oor minds.

We came across the Northern Inuit and this breed seemed to tick most if not all the boxes for us, but as we were in no great rush to get a new addition we were just gonna put that on the back burner until the time was right for us.

Until that fateful day back in July (3rd to be precise) that I took oor border collie sam to the local groomer in oor village. Loraine had a calendar of the most amazing looking dog up on the wall and i asked what breed that was. Got the website info and logged onto the forum.

And her wee pup pagan was such a wee cutie she stole ma heart, she was always so bouncy and happy.

Ma whole family thot i had turned into a complete bore as awe i talked about was the Utonagan this and the Utonagan that!!! They thought I would lose interest in the forum and the breed especially since my other half was so adamant that we were not having a puppy while we still had sam. I usually the type of person that has hobbies and interests for so long and then get bored with them.

But how wrong they were, this breed has got under ma skin in a way that i never imagined was possible. ive spent the last 7 months finding out as much information about the breed as possible (yes i know im a pest admin, but me dont care). and ive had such a laugh on the forum which is really filled with lovely folk

And then to be asked to be on the committee when i dont even own a utonagan was well mind blowin to say the least.

I could watch them playin with each other for hours and not get bored.

They are just such a loving affectionate breed, I just hope that now we are in line to getting a utonagan that we are up to the challenge and do the puppy justice

I know ive rabbited on but im sooo excited about gettin a puppy i cant wait and theyre not even born yet!!!!! This is gonna be the longest wait of ma life!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Me and Rick had just moved into our new flat when Rick realised that a guy he lived next door to growing up was living in the next street over.....they got talking again and one night when we were driving past we saw Andy out with a pack of the most beautiful pure white dogs i had ever seen. i initially thought they were GSD's (oops lol) but got out the car to see them and coo over them and Andy told us what breed they were...

after a couple of weeks of getting talking to Julie and walking Sweep with her dogs, i fell in love with Itoga, who was 6 months old at that time. Julie was considering finding him a new home as she had a few dogs at that point, so we let Sweep and Itoga get to know eachother...in fact Itoga is so placid that he submitted on his back to Sweep in his own house!! lol

when Itoga came to live with us at first he kept running back to Julies every time we took him for a walk! lol but he soon settled and became an important member of our family, him and Sweep bonded very well, unusual as Sweep generally hated other male dogs lol
Itoga even got on great with Ricks nanas yorkie puppy, Millie...he would play with her so gently and even let her hang on to his tail with her teeth as he was running around! lmao he also let her lay across his front legs and go to sleep, it was so cute!

I was hooked as soon as Julie and Andy told us about this great breed and I will always want a Ute around from now on

we have since added Nanuq to our family and although he is a hyper active wee shite at times, i love him so much and wouldnt change him for the world, Nanuq is probably only going to live a short while because of his heart condition and we lost Sweep on 27/01/09 so when the time comes that we only have Togie, we will be on the lookout for another Ute furbaby!!
